A Multi-Car Elevator Group Control Algorithm for Collision prediction and Minimum Average Service Completion Time
The implementation of Multi-car elevator (MCE) systems consisting of two or more elevator cars within a single shaft requires prevention of collision among elevator cars, which traditional group control methods are unable to achieve. We propose a MCE group control algorithm considering collision prediction and minimum average service completion time.Collision is divided into three categories according to calls direction, cars moving direction, calls floors and cars position. When a car meets collision prevention conditions,a call may be allocated to this car. From candidate cars, this paper chooses a car to minimize average service completion time. With our algorithm,we aim to prevent collision and reduce restricts on the operation direction of elevator cars like the existing MCE group control methods do.The simulation results show that our algorithm has a good performance under idle interfloor and specific floor passenger traffic mode.
