Energy absorption of hierarchical lattice truss materials

摘要：

　　Hierarchical structures are predicted to have ultra-light weight and superior mechanical properties, including excellent mass efficiency, anti-buckling ability and energy absorption capability. Adopting interlocking method, new hierarchical lattice truss materials reinforced by woven textile sandwich composite were designed, manufactured and tested, including two-dimensional grids and three dimensional lattices.
