An experimental and computational procedure for offshore drilling safety assessment and concrete dam diagnosis,including fracture

　　The inverse analysis method proposed and outlined herein concerns the following different engineering situations in which fracture mechanics has an important role: (i) aged concrete dams deteriorated by alkali-silicon reaction; (ii) wells crossing geological layers for hydrocarbon extraction and exposed to wall instabilities and collapses. For both the above industrial contexts with diverse dimensions and operative details, the following stages are envisaged.
