Thermal shock resistance of solids associated with non-classical heat conduction

  The thermal shock resistance of a solid is analyzed for a plate whose surfaces are suddenly heated to a different temperature under the framework of non-classical heat conduction. Closed form solution for the temperature field and the associated thermal stress are obtained for the plate without crack. The transient thermal stress intensity factors are obtained through a weight function method.
