A modified couple stress nonlinear theory for Bernoulli-Euler micro-beam
Based on the Hamiltons principle and the modified couple stress theory, the dynamic equation of the Bernoulli–Euler micro-beam is established. This model, which includes the nonlinear terms induced by the scale effect, takes into account not only the scale effect, but also the finite bending deformation and finite rotation angle of cross-section.
