Synthesis and characterization of am inopyridyl-thiacalix4arene immobilized on mesoporous titanium dioxide and its application for heavy metal adsorption

  A novel active ligands 2 possessing three aminopyridyl and one carboxylic groups in 1,3-alternate conformation based on thiacalix4arene was synthesized and covalently immobilized on mesoporous titanium dioxide by esterification reaction,then the novel adsorbent was employed to adsorb trace amounts of toxic heavy metals such as Cd,Hg and Pb in aqueous water.
