Climate change has become the hot topic in the world, more and more scholars started to pay attention to the impact of climate change on agricultural production. This article adopts two indicators-the temperature and humidity index (THI) and wind chill temperature (WCT), analyses the daily change characteristics of THI and WCT in 13 provinces (cities, districts) of cow breeding dominant areas from 2000 to 2011.The study finds that climate change assaulted external stress environment on cow dominant areas, on the overall, the impact of advantages overweighed disadvantages. The number of hot stress days declined in cow dominant area of Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai, Northeast China and Inner Mongolia area and North China, meanwhile, the number of cold stress days also decreased in Northeast China and Inner Mongolia area and Northwest China cow breeding dominant areas. In a word, external stress environment improved significantly on cow breeding.
