摘要：

　　A wide range of pharmaceuticals have been found in the aquatic environment.One of the main sources of pharmaceutical in the environment is the sewage treatment plants (STPs) effluents.Currently used water treatment technologies do not remove pharmaceuticals adequately.Among pharmaceuticals,antibiotics are usually used both in human and veterinary medicines.Antibiotics enter into the aquatic systems and pose a potential threat to ecosystem function and eventually to human health.In the last few years,the presence of antibiotics in water is of great concern due to the development of antibiotic resistant bacteria.
