Graphitic carbon nitride photocatalysis simultaneous Cr(Ⅵ) reduction and 2,4,6-TCP oxidation
Photocatalysis appears to be a promising technology for the environmental purification 1,2.Due to appropriate band gap and excellent physicochemical properties,graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) has attracted considerable attention,and was employed to degradation organic compounds 3,4.Recently,bulk g-C3N4 valence band holes were observed to oxidize 2,4,6-TCP directly at N2 gas ambient when metal ions were added as electron acceptors 5.But there is no report about heavy metals removal by g-C3N4.
