Photoreductive debromination of decabromodiphenyl ether by pyruvate
Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) have aroused significant scientific concem and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) have attracted particular attention in this field due to extensively used as flame retardants and global distribution.During the past few years,research on PBDEs has greatly spread and mighty endeavors have been devoted to study the distribution and transformation of pBDEs in the environment.Hitherto,only a few studies were reported to the degradation of PBDEs.PBDEs display an outstanding resistance against chemical degradation.Most conventional degradation technologies,even advanced oxidation processes have proved to be inefficient for them.So it is still a great challenge to find new method to realize the efficient degradation of PBDEs.
