POST-MAINSHOCK SLOPE STABILITY ANALYSIS BASED ON YIELD SEISMIC COEFFICIENT

Numerous slopes may fail in earthquake,so it is an important topic to evaluate the stability of failed slopes after earthquake.Based on the Janbu method for slope stability analysis and Newmarks sliding block method for displacement calculation,a procedure, named as extended Newmark and Janbu method, had been proposed to evaluate rationally the earthquake-induced displacement of slopes containing a weak layer.By using this method to calculate the yield seismic coefficient, the post-mainshock slope stability was evaluated in this research by considering the effects of aftershock, rising of ground water level and toe excavation.
