FUNDAMENTAL STUDY ON GROUND BEHAVIOR OF ARTIFICIAL SEASHORE RECLAIMED BY CEMENT-TREATED GRANULAR SOILS

Cement-treated granulation is a soil stabilization method that converts soft clayey soils to relatively high-strength particles by addition of cement and polymer. In this study,a series of centrifuge model tests were conducted to investigate ground behavior of artificial seashore reclaimed by cement-treated granular soils (CTGS) and sands.A new apparatus was developed to simulate sea waves in the centrifuge model tests. The results showed that the artificial seashore reclaimed by CTGS has high stability against waves partlybecause of high permeability of CTGS.
