THE EFFECT OF DISTRIBUTED SURFACE FRICTION FORCES ON THE EQUIVALENT SINGLE PILE MODEL
We have proposed a simplified analytical method for multi-pile foundations in our previous papers,which is based on a structural model named the equivalent single pile model.In this paper we summarize the fundamental formulas and these derivation processes,and newly introduce the way to consider the effect of distributed surface friction forces on this model as the most important application method.Then the characteristics of surface friction forces are discussed with a few calculation results.It is shown that we can easily treat the distributed surface friction forces by this method.
