DEFORMATION CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SUNKEN CAVE
The sunken cave that is warm in winter and cool in summer is Chinese earth construction.It is particularly important to inherit and develop sunken caves nowadays when low carbon life is promoted highly.So it is meaningful to study deformation characteristics of the sunken cave.With FEM which is combined with the subroutine of the UH model,deformation characteristics of the sunken cave have been researched.The soil properties,the span of the caves and the construction progress all have great influences on the final deformation.In the last,the stress distribution of the sunken cave has been caught out under the theory of soil-arch effect.According to the result of deformation characteristics and stress distribution,the weakest parts of the sunken cave which must be reinforced have been summarized.
