INCLINOMETER MONITORING AND ANALYSIS OFLANDSLIDE OF TWO DEEP CUTTING SLOPES OF BAISE-LONGLIN HIGHWAY

  Two deep cutting slopes slipperily collapsed during the construction of Baise-Longlin highway in Guangxi.Based on the comparison of the existing exploration methods,drilling plus borehole inclinometer method is adopted to precisely and practically monitor the displacements of the slopes.Through the analysis of the cumulative horizontal deviations of five inclinometer boreholes installed in two major slip surfaces and the measured information about the relationship that the cumulative horizontal displacements of directions of axes A and B with respect to the borehole depth,the characteristics of the slopes during the monitoring period and the depths of the slip surfaces in activities are inferred,and the reliability and accuracy of the method have been confirmed by field investigation.The conclusion of this study provides a basis for evaluating the stability of the two slopes after settlement.
