THE RESEARCH OF THE BEARING CAPACITY OF FOUNDATION CONSIDERING THE SD EFFECT
To research the influence of the intermediate principal stress and the SD effect of soil materials both were not considered,so the potential strength of soil was misestimated.In order to consider the effect the influence of that,based on the generalize non-linear strength theory and a stress condition in plane strain state,the failure criterion for the plane strains for sand and clay materials were proposed.The formula was applied to the calculation of the beating capacity of foundation.By comparing with the test data,the computed results was perfectly consistency when used the formula for computing the parameter α.The validity of the proposed formula of bearing capacity of foundations and the calculation of strength characteristics of soil were verified.The failure criterion in plane strain takes on the same value of reference to others planes strain problems.
