Increasing Milk Yield using a Cow Comfort Assessment System with Variable Weight for Parameters Depending on Their Score

摘要：

　　A scoring system for dairy cow comfort in free stall harns is developed that results in a single score for each farm.It consists of animal based parameters as well as environmental aspects,having a variable weight for all parameters,depending on their score.This system has heen tested on dairy farms in the Netherlands.Mexico and Greece with a positive correlation between the scores and milk yield.Furthermore.there was a correlation of 0.84 with the Welfare Quality(R)Assessment Protocol for cattle in the Greek farms.
