Animals Welfare in Dairy Farms in Mexico

　　Animal welfare is of two basic arguments: ethical and productive.This paper evaluates dairy farms Holstein Friesian in an intensive system production.Farms are in Mexico State we evaluate: area of the pens,farmyard/animal.shade quantity per animal,watering hole space/animal.feeding and trough/animal.water quantity per animal hesides it was realized a total injury count of necks and legs in animals.Data were analyzed and found that none of the farms has the proper amount of feed for each cow,the space required per cow is poor and the farms animals are injured,so no meets the 5 freedoms to assess the welfare of farm animals.
