THE STUDY OF TRANSFORMER FAULT DIAGNOSIS AND ITS APPLICATION IN THE IMPROVING DESIGN OF RELIABILITY

  A system of transformer fault diagnosis based on knowledge base is developed aiming at solving the problem of uncertainty in the transformer fault diagnosis.The system can present possible fault types and diagnose faults automatically by using the operational parameters of transformer,inference engine and knowledge data pool.The principal component analysis can locate the factors that have the greatest effect on normal operation,the faults and their causes can be analyzed.Thus,the operating reliability of transformers can be improved when the next generation of transformer is developed and the goal of energy-saving and emissions-reducing can be achieved.
