AN INVESTIGATION ON METHOD AND TOOLS FOR SUSTAINABLE DESIGN OF OFFICE FURNITURE

摘要：

　　This paper presents the innovative method and tool applicable to sustainable design of office furniture for furniture industry,especially in open plan system (OPS).It can assist not only designer to develop new furniture by taking consideration on the sustainability aspect but also to the product developer and manufacturers.Based on the investigation and case study,the authors suggest the using the appropriate sustainable design method and tool should help companies gain the awareness of sustainable design in a scientific manner,for designer to measure and render their products toward sustainable design quantitatively.
