PRODUCT SERVICE SYSTEM (PSS) LIFE CYCLE VALUE ANALYSIS FOR SUSTAINABILITY

　　Product Service System (PSS) has been viewed as a promising business model for fulfilling customer demands in a sustainable way.The sustainability delivered by PSS solutions is predominantly driven by the design phase.The research aim is to find ways to assist designers in integrating sustainability into the design of PSS from the life cycle perspective.For this purpose,this paper proposes a PSS life cycle sustainable value analysis tool.This tool helps designers in:(i) mapping out the current value elements through the entire life cycle; (ii) capturing new sustainable value opportunities,matching value surplus and value absence; (iii) driving value movement to achieve a more sustainable value proposition.The value elements in this case are considered from the three dimensions of sustainability-environmental,social and economic value,so as to integrate sustainability into each stage of product and service life cycle.It is expected that this tool can help designers identify opportunities of sustainable value creation by analysing the value elements through the product and service life cycle.
