Characteristics of Warm Season Convection over Pearl River Delta, China

This study examines, for the first time, the temporal and spatial distribution of convection over Pearl River Delta during warm season using three years of Ground-based Doppler radar data located at Guangzhou,China. Our results indicate that convection for the warm season occur most frequently over the windward side of the eastern mountain and coastal area, corresponding two rainfall maxima observed by satellites and gauges.
