Statistical Analysis of Summer MCS in mid-eastern China
The mid-eastern China is the region that severe convective weather events produced by mesoscale convective systems that cause great economic losses and casualty in general occurred frequently.Therefore,strengthening research about MCSs is helpful to understand and forecast them.Previous studies have generally focused on a particular type of MCS and detailed research work on classification of mesoscale convective system (MCS) is still less at present,but this study examines circular and elongated systems on both the large and small scales.This investigation is to discuss the initiatioi stages by which convection becomes organized into mature MCSs,which are different to the relevant observational MCS studies done in the past mostly discussed the mature stages of MCSs.
