HEES:a Hexagon-based Energy Efficient Scheduling Protocol for Target Tracking in WSNs

摘要：

　　Target tracking is one of important applications of WSNs.In this paper,we propose a hexagon-based energy efficient scheduling protocol for target tracking (HEES) in WSNs.In this strategy,we use Hexagon idea to predict the next location and then form a dynamic cluster to track a target.And a new Sleep/Wake-up schedule method is used to improve the network lifetime.Simulation results show that the proposed method has better performance in energy efficiency which leads to a long-term monitoring and is suitable to targets random movement.
