Numerical simulation for effects of running surface profile structure in piston ring group on Blow-by and LOC
The oil film distribution of piston ring lubrication is determined by the running surface profile of piston ring,which has significant effect on lube-oil-consumption (LOC) and blow-by of diesel engine.Based on the Excite Piston&Ring software in AVL Company,the effect of changing the running surface lines of piston ring group on LOC and blow-by of a automotive diesel engine has been analysed,which contributes to the design of piston rings.The results show that the performance of blow-by and LOC in scheme two is better than that in scheme one.
