A Highly Secure and Cost-effective CAS Based on STB with GSM Unit

摘要：

　　To make up the Control Words (CW) share and deployment cost-ineffective defects in traditional pay-TV services,an advanced security conditional access system and its implementation are introduced in this paper.It is based on STB with a secure GSM module,where iterative key encryption for CW and wireless transmission for identity authentication and entitlement data are used,and it can prevent the piracy of pay-TV and protect the profit of pay-TV operator.The system is proved to be highly secure,easily deployed and cost-effective by experimentation in lab and now in mass production for broadcasters and operators.
