Effects of environmental factors on phytoplankton assemblage in the Plateau lakes
Data on phytoplankton specious composition and environmental factors, collected from the plateau lakes of Yunnan (China),are examined using canonical correspondence analysis. The relationship between the change of phytoplankton population and environmental factors is investigated. It shows that depth appears to be the main driving factors for phytoplankton dynamics in the lake.Dissolved oxygen is linked to depth variation in the plateau lakes.TP,TN and CODMn also play an important role in assembling the communities. The gradual increase in water nutrition could have led to the selection of more tolerant self-shading species.
