Study on pyrolysis and liquefaction of sludge from oil tank bottom
The catalytic effects of two inorganic compounds (Na2CO3 and KOH) on pyrolytic behavior of sludge from oil tank bottom were investigated by thermal analysis experiments. The influences of catalyst categories and dosage on sludge pyrolysis from oil tank bottom were studied by Thermogravimetric and Differential Thermogravimetric (TG-DTG) analysis. The oil products obtained by direct thermochemical liquefaction under the optimal conditions were detected by GC-MS.The results showed that the catalytic effect followed Na2CO3 > KOH,and 2 wt% Na2CO3 was chosen as the optimal dosage of the catalysts. The components of oil product obtained at 2 wt% Na2CO3,reaction temperature of 553 K and holding time of 30 min were complicated, including benzene species and hydrocarbon species etc.
