Study on vertical flow filter in dealing with rural domestic sewage
The effects of different filter media when loaded in vertical flow filters on removal of main pollutants in rural domestic sewage is studied in this paper.The experimental result has shown that the comprehensive removal efficiency of main pollutants by different filter media was in sequence of slag > haydite > river sand.Under the condition of 0.35 m3/m2.d-1 hydraulic loading and that filter media layer was not immersed,the COD and NH4+-N influent concentration of slag filter,respectively,could stay at 50 mg/L and 2.2 mg/L,and removal rate of TP was always 70%.
