Removal of MC-LR in photoelectrocatalysis process

  The removal of MC-LR by photoelectrocatalysis method with different TiO2 nanotube films was studied in this study.Different kind of electrolytes was used to prepare TiO2 films by electrochemical oxidation method.The surface topography of TiO2 films with different electrolyte was also detected.There are alveolate TiO2 nanotubes formed with Citric Acid + NaF electrolyte.While with Ethylene Glycol + NaF electrolyte,the TiO2 nanotubes had several floccus.And with Oxalic Acid + NH4F electrolyte,TiO2 nanotubes were arranged uniformly and orderly.The removal of MC-LR was also investigated with different electrolyte in photoelectrocatalysis system.The highest of removal efficiency was obtained with Citric Acid + NaF electrolyte.In addition,the kinetic model of MC-LR degradation was also analyzed,which was fit to the first-order kinetic model.
