Research on the characteristics of exhaust gas energy flow for piston engine
A GT-power model was founded and calibrated using the cylinder data experimented aiming at a two-stroke piston engine.The exhaust parameters and energy was calculated utilizing the calibrated model.The exhaust energy was classified into three kinds of pressure energy,kinetic energy and thermal energy.The change rules of exhaust energy were studied.The percentage of different form of exhaust energy was compared.The calculated results show that energy increases with the raising of speed and load,the impact of speed is greater than one of load; thermal energy is the major form,it occupies more than 90% at full speed range,95% above at high speed operating mode; the pressure energy takes second place,while the kinetic energy is least; the exhaust energy has a greater recovery potential at high speed and heavy load running conditions.These results provide a data reference for recovering and utilizing the exhaust energy.
