Effects of Biochar Made from Bagasse on Sorption Behavior of Norfloxacin in Tropical Soils

Antibiotic residues and behaviors in the environment have drawn wide attention. This paper aimed at revealing the effects of biochar made from bagasse on adsorption and desorption of Norfloxacin(NOR) on Latosols to provide basis and reference for environmental risk assessment of biochar applications on typical tropical soils. Results showed that biochar amendment could change the environmental behavior of Norfloxacin in tropical soils at different levels.Adsorption and desorption process were well described by models. The adsorption imensity and capacity of soil amended with different temperature biochar on NOR demonstrated an up,then down trend. The lgkf values ranged from 3.275 to 4.201.When soil coexisted with different biochar, desorption parameters of Norfloxacin in soils were similar to adsorption process, and the extent of hysteresis was different, which ranged from 0.607 to 1.285,demonstrated that Norfloxacin desorption in tropical soils had a certain hysteretic nature.
