Research on the Treatment of Acrylonitrile in Nitrile Rubber Wastewater by Fenton Method
Nitrile rubber wastewater is a highly toxic, nonbiodegradable organic wastewater. The advanced oxidation technology has a very good treatment effect for the nonbiodegradable wastewater. The following conditions were determined in this study:the optimum reaction temperature,pH value, the mass ratio of hydrogen peroxide with acrylonitrile, the mass ratio of hydrogen peroxide ratio and reaction time. The problems in this method were also analyzed at the same time. The best running conditions were determined as:pH=3,the reaction temperature at 30℃,reaction time at 2 hours,H2O2/acrylonitrile (mass ratio, the same below)=2∶1,H2O2/Fe2+(mass ratio, the same below)=4∶1.The acrylonitrile removal rate reached 90.6% in effluent. At the same time, the removal efficiency of COD was 35.5%,and the removal efficiency of TN is 28.3%.Fenton method can significantly reduce the COD and acrylonitrile. This method could significantly improve the biodegradability of the wastewater, the ratio of BOD5/COD value increased from 0.065 to 0.338.
