Comparison of Salt-Tolerance and Genetic Evolutionary Analysis of Five Isolates of Spirulina Platensis from Different Inhabiting Environments

Spirulina platensis (SPP) as an ancient multicelluar G-prokaryotes without flagella is composed of reasonably high contents of proteins representing 60-70% of the dry weight and rich in eight kinds of human essential amino acids. It contains a variety of unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and biologically active substances in addition to phycocyanin, special growth factor and SOD.Thus,SPP possesses the health-care function such as improving body immunity,anti-cancer,radiation protection,anti-aging,antioxidant and fatigue resistance and is widely used as potential food supply.
