Distribution Characteristics and Risk of Organochlorine Pesticides in Core Sediments from the Lake Baiyangdian, China
The burial characteristics and risks of 13 organochlorine pesticides (OCP; α-HCH,β-HCH,γ-HCH,δ-HCH,p,p-DDE,p,p-DDD,p,p-DDT,heptachlor,aldrin,dieldrin,endrin,α-endosulfan and β-endosulfan) in core sediments of three typical area from the Lake Baiyangdian were investigated. The concentrations of hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH),dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT),heptachlor, aldrin, and endosulfan ranged from 0.64 to 2.72 ng g-1,nd (undetectable levels) to 2.79 ng g-1,0.29 to 1.37 ng g-1,nd to 2.62 ng g-1,and from nd to 1.76 ng g-1,respectively.The OCPs concentration in the core sediments exhibited the following trend:Dongtianzhuang > Shaochedian > Zaolinzhuang in spatial and surficial layer (0-16 cm) > bottom layer (16-37 cm) in vertical depth.OCPs were dominated by HCH,especially for β-HCH,which indicated most HCH came from the older input in the area.
