Effects of Water Management Methods on Aquatic Vegetables Growth and Cadmium Uptake

Cadmium is one of the major pollution of farmland soils in China currently and will seriously restrict the safety of agricultural products. With the development of living standard, more and more people prefer aquatic vegetables to ordinary vegetables because of its nutritional and medicinal value. Now the main market source of quatic vegetables is artificial large-scale cultivation. In the aquatic vegetable cultivation process, water management is one of crucial link.First, water is the medium of all chemical reaction.Sceound, different water conditions effect the soil physical and chemical properties(texture, air permeability, organic matter content,pH,Eh),thus indirectly affect the physical and chemical behavior of trace elements in soil. The third, different water condition effects element existence condition and the effective content.
