Molecular Characterization of Long-Chain Alkanes Degradation from Geobacillus Thermodenitrificans NG80-2
Crude oil contaminants existing in the environment due to various man-made reasons are not only hazards to the ecological environment but also huge economic losses to the society.Because of the serious perniciousness of crude oil contaminants, they rank eighth in the Hazardous Waste Directory issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection.n-Alkanes and isoparaffins are one of the primary constituents of crude oil.In environmental media, the long-chain alkanes are more persistent and harder to degrade compared with the short-chain alkanes.
