Occurrence of Herbicides in Riparian Soils and its Risk Assessment of Transport in Songhua River Basin, Northeastern China
The Songhua River basin is one of the intensive agricultural basins in China.Widely farming practices and agrichemicals application in riparian zones has resulted in loss of nutrients and pesticides into rivers and streams in this basin. We investigated land-use type of riparian zones and the residues of commonly used herbicides in riparian soils and soil columns of different land-use types in riparian zones from 248 stations throughout this basin before the rainy season. The detection ratio of herbicides in soils was 97.37 %,which suggested that herbicide residues were spread widely throughout riparian zones of the whole basin. The average concentration of acetochlor and atrazine in farmland soils were 26.10μg/kg and 11.28μg/kg,respectively.The residues of herbicides in soils of other land-use types are lower to farmland.
