Difference of Cadmium Uptake and Accumulation in Vegetables in Different Planting Patterns
To investigate the differneces of cadmium uptake and accumulation in vegetables in different planting patterns, field experiment was carried out with Cd contaminated soil in DaYe,Hubei,China.Result shows that,in the planting pattern that white turnip-tomato-green turnip, the yields and economic benefits were highest, the contents and accumulations of Cd in the edible parts of vegetables were significantly lower than what in vegetable of other pattens. In addition, the cumulant of Cd in unedible parts of vegetables was just below the planting pattern of white radish-cowpea,water spinach B.campestris, but much higher than others. For all, concentrations of Cd were higher in leaf vegetables, but lower in cowpea, tomatoes,Flower Chinese cabbage.Come to the conclution, the planting pattern that white turnip-tomato-green turnip was recommend when planting in Cd polluted area, and owpea, tomatoes, flower Chinese cabbage were the recommend vegetables.
