The Toxicity Effect of the Typical Industry Wastewater on Daphnia Magna and Establishing of A Novel Rank Standard
The toxicity effects of forty-six typical industry wastewaters were investigated in present study using the standard determination method based on the acute toxicity to Daphnia magna.The toxicity was expressed as the volume fraction causing a 50% lethality of Daphnia magna after 48h exposure (LC50).Basing on the LC50 values,the acute toxicity unit (Tua) was calculated according to reference1 and the results were in Figure 1 and 2.The toxic rank of each wastewater was also given in Table 1.The results show that there were some toxic effects of these wastewaters on Daphnia magna.
