Design of Lenses with Protection Angle

摘要：

　　In order to protect human eyes from being dazzled by lamps with LEDs as light source,suitable measures should be taken.In this paper,we present a design method of novel lenses with protection angle,which can keep lamps from glaring and decrease loss of luminous flux.Thickness of a lens with protection angle is relatively small,which makes such lenses applicable to lamps using LEDs with large radiation surface.We also introduce application of such lenses in anti-explosion lamps.In order to satisfy protection requirements,lenses with protection angle can be made of glass and strengthened through a thermal tempering process.
