The Application of Bibliometric Method in Performance Evaluation of Funding Agency--The Example of National Science Foundation of China

摘要：

　　Based on the bibliometric method,this article attempts to count the output of SCI papers funded by National Science Foundation of China (NSFC),published between 1986 and 2010,and compare their impact at home and abroad.Study found that the large sample bibliometric method is quantified,comparative and reliable,which can objectively reflect the quantity and quality of the papers by funding agency,could also provide quantitative basis for performance evaluation of funding agency,especially regarding basic research.
