Comparative Analysis on Sino-US First-class Universities

　　With the implementation of the 985 Project,the first-class universities in China have successfully shortened the gap with the best American universities.But in protection of basic academic,international perspective,international standards and scientific quality of output,Chinas top universities and the best American universities still have a larger gap.From a comparative study of first-class universities in China and the United States on the indicators of scale of teachers and students,subject-building,research funding and research output,this article attempts to provide some suggestions for the Chinese world-class university building.
