Chinese University Patents Cited in the Scientific Research Papers
In this article,the linkage between science and technology has been investigated,meanwhile,the Chinese university patents have been evaluated by analysing citations of Chinese university patents (CUPs) in the scientific research papers.The study is based on 4702 citations of Chinese universities patents cited by the papers recorded in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-EXPAND-ED) and Conference Proceedings Citation Index-Science (CPCI-S).Citation links between technological classifieation(IPC-Class) and scientific fields(Web of Science Category) have been analysed.The most cited Chinese patents applicants of Chinese universities and the most cited technological classifications are ranked.I found Chinese university patents were rarely cited by foreign papers.In addition,the half-life of citation of Chinese universities patents in scientific research papers is calculated.
