China's Contribution to Natural Products and Medicines Research
As one of the countries with the richest resources of natural medicines,it is valuable to evaluate the magnitude and quality of publications in natural products and medicines research in China and to compare this with that of other countries about natural products and medicines study,including USA,Germany,France,UK,Japan,Korea,and India.Five representative of international wellknown journals in natural products and medicines fields,namely Planta Medica Journal of Natural Products Tetrahedron Phytochernisry ,and Organic Letters ,were selected.By use of Scopus,the bibliometrics indicators of China in above journals from 2006 to 2010 were analyzed,and the productivity of China in this field in relative to other seven representative countries was evaluated.The results show that these countries are the leading powers in natural products and medicines research.In addition,natural products and medicines research of China present a most increasing developmental tendency,show a strong presence in this field.
