SPC and Co-occurrence Analysis of Metadata Research in LIS:A Case Study on Research Literature from WoS
We collected data from WoS database and applied methods of social network SPC method and bibilometrics Co-occurrence analysis to find the path and structure of metadata research in Library and Information (LIS) field.SPC is a useful algorithm for citation network analysis.The results proved that metadata research in LIS developed comprehensively in aspects of information retrieval,knowledge organization and digital library.According to the co-occurrence analysis,metadata research in LIS developed mainly within the discipline but the research accomplishments achieved from medical informatics and library were still noticeably important.
