Visualizing Science in African Union Based on SCI Papers in 2011

摘要：

　　29673 papers published in 2011 were retrieved from SCI to visualize the overall latest development of science in African Union (AU).CiteSpace(ll) 2.2 R11 was applied to do country collaboration analysis,institute collaboration analysis,subject co-occurrence analysis and journal co-citation analysis.Results show that South Africa and Egypt are pioneering scientific AU countries.11.1% of AU countries account for 77.8% of the total outputs.Collaboration degree between China and Africa is much lower than expected.Predominant institutes,primary subjects and key journals were identified and discussed.
