GUIDING STUDENTS INTO THE AUTHENTIC PRACTICE UNDER THE BACKGROUND OF LARGE-SCALE ENGINEERING VIEWPOINT --The Challenges and Strategies of Comprehensive Practical Course Design

Under the background of large-scale engineering viewpoint of engineering education, it is advocated to integrate science, technology and non-technical factors into engineering practice.An effective way to practice this educational philosophy is to guide students into the authentic engineering practice.At the same time, many challenges are brought to the teachers of higher engineering practice education.This paper analyzes the main challenges from guiding students into the authentic practice under the background of large-scale engineering viewpoint, and illustrates the design strategies of comprehensive engineering practice courses, which are case-based, project-oriented, and integrated with the key instructional elements, such as teaching and learning activities, practice resources,interactive way.Our practice has proved that, it is feasible to carry out comprehensive engineering training in large-scale industrial system situations, and it is necessary to design teaching programs from the multiple dimensions of system.
