EXPLORATION OF THE SOFT POWER CONSTRUCTION FOR ENGINEERING TRAINING CENTER TO STRENGTHEN
During Eleventh Five-Year Plan, IMUT increased the equipment investment and the practice area to ETC, enriched the team structure, adjusted the task of practice training set, expanded practice content, straightened out the management operation system of practice.In recent years, with the improvement of practice conditions, ETC earnestly carrys out Engineering Projects about Teaching Quality (EPTQ), go out, please come in, improves practical skills of teachers, encourages staffs to study to pursue higher education levels in part-time, organizes them to edit and publish the practice textbooks, encourages teaching staffs to apply for all types of teaching reform and scientific research projects, to publish papers, to participate in education reform and academic meetings,supports for teachers to guide students to carry out internal and extemal Robotics Competition,improve the quality of practice.The next few years, the goal and focus of education reform and development will be shifted to the work of strengthening the construction of soft power.Soft power construction includes the specification and standard of practice organization, management and operation, updating the concept of education, innovating practice mode and methods,emphasizing on the process of experiential practice, building a platform of practice teaching and management based on computer network, carrying out the teachers operational skills training and contest and so on.We aim at striving to create a Large Engineering Training Education System(LETES) that is characterized as follows, Four in One of industry practice, skills training,experiment, innovative design and manufacturing, combination of curricular and extra-curricular practice, expansion from basic practice to professional practice, graduation practice, integration of study, scientific research and production each other.
