Preparation of Porous Silicon by Magnesiothermic Reduction from Serpentine
Amorphous silica was prepared from serpentine by hydrochloric acid leaching experiment.The XRF results show that the leached residue contains 92.37% of amorphous silica.Porous silicon was obtained via magnesiotherrnic reduction from the leach residue.The XRD results show the leach residue was successfully reduced to silicon phase while the SEM results reveal that they have similar morphology.The BET and BJH results indicate the leach residue and the porous silicon have same pore diameter,different surface area and pore volume.One of the most important properties of porous silicon was characterized by PL with an excitation at 365 nm,it have an emission centered in the blue region.
